The product consists of luxury dessert sorbet which starts as a pasteurized base mix to which flavors are added. The dessert is served directly from the packaging in frozen ruby grapefruit shells (the manufacturer guarantees a minimum volume per shell of 125ml) and should be eaten after it has been allowed to thaw to the extent that the sorbet is slightly soft but not liquid.
